Leonard Jackson Associates (LJA) has extensive knowledge of all facets of the National Flood Insurance Program and policies. We have provided quality flood hazard services and products in support of FEMA since LJA's formation nearly 35 years ago. During this time we have built strong rapport with FEMA and have completed hundreds of studies for communities throughout states of NY, NJ, PA, and CT. In 2008, LJA was granted multi-million dollar Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity Contract (IDIQ) for counties of Oswego, Oneida, and Chemung in the State of New York.
LOMC Applications have been prepared for multiple municipalities througout FEMA Regions I, II, and III.
LJA has been involved in preparation and compilation of applications for Letters of Map Amendment (LOMA), Letters of Map Revisions (LOMR) and Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) to FEMA including requisite hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
LJA has also been involved in hazard Mitigation and Technical Assistance Program nationwide providing
technical and program support for FEMA and local communities for implementing the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, National Earthquake Technical Assistance Program, Wind and Water Technical Assistance Program, Flood Management Assistance, and Project Impact programs.
LJA performed detailed Flood Control Project Reports, including h,ydrology, hydraulics, design of alternative flood control measures, damage investigation, cost estimates and economic analysis.
Projects with the US Army Corps of Engineers General Design Memoranda (GDM) Flood Control/Protection Feasibility study involved hydraulic, hydrologic, and economic evaluation of flood control alternatives. Projects incorporate HEC analyses, economic evaluation, environmental review, foundations, erosion protection, quantity and construction cost estimating, report text, and graphics preparation and related work.
United States Military Academy
Projects with the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY involved sludge dewatering facilities and digester improvements; Lusk Water Treatment Plant rehabilitation, chemical feed systems, pumping systems, metering, and valve rehabilitation; water storage system expansion, distribution system, rehabilitation.

Various projects with U.S. Post Office Architectural and Engineering involved energy investigation and studies, building rehabilitation, retaining wall, boiler replacement and repairs and alterations throughout communities in the state of New York.
